More than 2000 people including Students, Staff and General Public were given FREE PREVENTIVE MEDICINE
NewZNew (Patiala) : As part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Initiatives, Lakshya Institute organized a 2-day Free Medical Camp for the Awareness and Prevention of Dengue at its Patiala Center, in association with Sidhu Homoeopathic Clinic. More than 2000 people including the students and staff of Lakshya Institute and the general public attended the camp and were administered with the Preventive Medicine for Dengue.
Dr. Harkirat Singh Sidhu, who is a renowned Homoeopathic Specialist and also the Chairman of the Anti-Drug Society, Patiala, inaugurated the camp and delivered an Awareness Seminar to the students of Lakshya Institute. He explained about various causes of Dengue and also shared various precautions and techniques which can help in eradicating the disease.
He expressed concern over the lack of awareness amongst the general public about the disease and urged everyone to support his efforts towards this cause. Dr. Sidhu mentioned that he had put more than 2 years of hard work in created this Preventive Medicine and more than 80,000 people have been given this medicine through various camps across Punjab, with not even a single case of Dengue from those people so far. He also thanked the management and staff of Lakshya Institute for organizing this event at this scale and providing support in conducting the camp.
Lakshya, which is one of the leading Institutes for Engineering and Medical entrance Exams in North India, will also be celebrating its 10th Foundation Day this year in December. The Management, on this occasion thanked the people for attending the camp and making it successful and also stated that they will be holding similar camps around the region in the coming days.
