NewZNew (Chandigarh – Kulbir Singh Kalsi) : Assistant Solicitor General of India Mr Chetan Mittal speaking at the Rotary Club of Chandigarh said that the continued log-jam in the Parliament is the major roadblock to the progress of the country.
Chetan Mittal was speaking on the “Road Blocks in Parliament” to the Rotarians here. Additional Solicitor General of India Mr Satya Pal Jain, and senior Advocate Mr Anupam Gupta could not make it to the meeting for the panel discussion.
Chetan Mittal said that one of the major bottleneck is to have the GST bill passed in the Parliament which is impacting the people’s aspirations and the nation.
GST, he said, is expected to bring in Rs.40,000 crores as revenue which has to be majorly spent on the Right to Education and various other developmental projects and one can imagine the extent of loss which the people are facing.
