NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Magma Fincorp, a leading BFSI organization held M-Art, a workshop aimed at promoting Art as vocational education on 17th & 18th December ’15 in Chandigarh. The workshop, a unique initiative, provided a platform to the upcoming artists to enhance their skill.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill, SSP (Crime), Chandigarh, who was enthralled at the creativity and brilliance of the participants and applauded Magma on this unique initiative.
This is the 6th edition of Magma’s M-Art in Chandigarh and like each year the event witnessed numerous art enthusiasts of the city take part and showcase their talent on the canvasses. On the occasion, Magma announced two scholarships to the meritorious and needy participants who will be selected based on their work post the completion of the workshop.
‘Magma has always encouraged and nurtured talented artists to further their art and take up art as employment for future. Such workshops, we believe, would help the participants enhance their skill and be more employable in the near future’, said Mr. Suryakant Mishra, Associate Vice President – Corporate Communications, Magma Fincorp Ltd.
“The Workshop started off in Kolkata and has been held over the last 10 years. The activity is currently being held across cities like Kolkata, Cochin, Bhubaneswar, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Pune. We will offer 16 such scholarships in FY16”, added Mr. Mishra.
