NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : The dreams of MBA students of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri have come true. Although their results of the final semester examinations are expected not before July, 2016, most of these students have already been placed in leading companies of India. Not only this, a number of these students are pocketed with more than one offers. Akshay kapoor, Harmanjot Kaur and Komal Rani have offers from three companies each while Aamir Yusuf Reshi, Aarti Khera, Kumar Ravi Shankar, Parveen , Priyanka Rani, Rajit Vyas, Roji Sharma, Sahila Kalyan , Satwinder Singh, Sonal Dass and Sumit Saini have two job offers each.
All other eligible students also have been placed in company of their choice. Some of the companies in which these students have been placed include Reliance, Tommy Hilfiger, Ashiana Housing, Indiabulls, Crecer Financial, Voice Tree, Vertical Recruiters, OBO Betterman, Kent RO System, Ginger Web, Source Key and PNB Metlife etc.
Speaking on the placement policy of the college, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President said that CGC, Jhanjeri gives top priority to the placements of its students. For this, a number of leading companies are invited to hold their placement drives in the campus throughout the year. He added that in view of excellent placements of MBA students during the last three years, the college has been conferred with a number of awards like ‘Award for Quality in Placements’ by ABP News, ‘Best Instituite for Placements in Punjab’ by Praxis Media and ‘B School Leadership Award’ by DNA and Star of industry group.
Dr.G.D. Bansal, Director General said that a 360 degree Pre placement Training is given to all the students to improve their Communication Skills and Group Discussion capabilities which are basic requirements for their placements. According to Dr. Bansal, the best part of placements of these MBA students is the fact that the students of a particular specialization like Marketing, HR, Finance etc. have got jobs in the field of their respective specialization which will be of great help in making their career successful.
