MDI Gurgaon Kicks-off 10-Day Induction Programme for the leaders of Tomorrow

India’s one of the premier business school Management Development Institute, Gurgaon commenced its 10-day induction programme for the Batch of 2018-20 from 15 June, 2018. The 10-day long induction ceremony comprised students belonging to Post Graduate Programs namely 25th batch of Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), 15th batch of PGP – Human Resource Management (PGP-HRM) and 13th batch of PGP-International Management (PGP-IM).The ceremony provided a glimpse of exciting and inspiring academic journey the students will take in the years ahead from the stalwarts of the industry.

Peer group pressure in professional setup is at an all-time high. There’s a growing list of deadlines to hit, deliverables to execute on, relationships to build, projects to deliver, emails to check, calendars to manage, and action items to follow-up on. Induction programme plays a vital role in the student’s life as it provides them, the brief outlook of not just the academic curriculum challenges but also familiarises with the Institute and it’s various facilites.

In an inspiring and motivating start to the mega induction programme, Dr. Himadri Das, Director, MDI Gurgaon emphasized the importance of networking skills and highlighted unforgettable and learning oriented journey at MDI.

Continuing the momentum of programme introduction, Shrikant Lonikar, CHRO & Director, Pernod Ricard enthused attendees “to get motivated by challenges and not be intimated by them”. One should enjoy one’s life and stay committed to one’s purpose. The key is to compete with yourself and not others. Find encouragement in your challenges and watch yourself improve day-by-day”.

Talking about the importance of sustainability Dr. Tapan Sahoo, Sr. VP, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. said “world that is volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous, one needs vision, understanding, clarity and agility. The three pillars of sustainability – economic, social and environmental can be measured. And, what can be measured can be improved. ”On the other hand Tej Kapoor, MD & Head, Fosun RI Capital India, in his keynote address about the venture capitalist market in US, UK, China, South Africa and India. Kapoor highlighted the initiatives taken by current government for the development and embracement of newer technologies in the subcontinent.

To unveil the importance of fitness and as an aim to create more healthy corporate professionals, a workshop on Yoga to Manage Corporate Stress has been planned on June 21st, International Yoga Day.
