The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra is going to publish the provisional merit list of MHT CET 2017 today for the admissions to full-time professional undergraduate courses. Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test – MHT CET 2017 was conducted by the State CET cell on 11th May, while the results were announced on 3rd June. After one day, i.e. on 4th June, the online registration process for admissions was opened, which continued up to 18th June. DTE Maharashtra will now publish MHT CET provisional merit list today at 5 pm.

The candidates seeking admission to engineering, architecture & pharmacy courses offered in State Universities & their affiliated colleges were required to register at the online portal and get their documents verified. Total 15 Facilitation Centres (FC) were set up across the State where the candidates were to report for document verification. The document verification process and confirmation of application was to end on 17th June, but one more day was provided to the students. While reporting, the Facilitation Center In-Charge confirmed the candidates’ application form through online system and issued the Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement of application form.
MHT CET merit list (provisional) will be made available before 5 pm today and the candidates will allowed to submit the grievances at the Facilitation Centres. The grievances to the provisional merit list will be submitted from June 20 to June 21 up to 5 pm. In specified grievance period, candidates can submit the grievances in writing along with necessary documents to substantiate, at FC where he/she had confirmed application form. Following it, the final merit list will be out on June 22. DTE will also publish the category-wise seats (seat matrix) for CAP Round 1 on Thursday.
After the publication of MHT CET 2017 merit list on 22nd June, the candidates will be able to submit the options for Institutes and Courses from June 23 to 26. The candidates will be allowed to fill minimum 1 and maximum 300 choices on Institutes and Courses. The provisional allotment of CAP Round 1 will be announced on June 28 and the candidates will have to report to the Admission Reporting Center on or before July 3. The seat allotment will be made in 3 rounds and an additional round will be conducted for admission to Government and government-aided Institutions.
Nearly 90 thousand applications were submitted up to June 15, which increased by some 20,000 in last three days. As per the reports, 13,044 students have registered for engineering courses from Aurangabad Division. Also, 10,388 registrations have been made for Pharmacy and 259 for Architecture from the division. From Nagpur division, as much as 17,194 students have registered. There are around 21,500 seats in 56 colleges affiliated to Nagpur University.
There are around 1.3 lakh engineering seats for the academic session 2017-18 as around 13 thousand seats have decreased from last year. On the other hand, 40 new colleges will be opened in the State to cater to the increasing demand for pharmacy course. With this, the pharmacy seats will go up to 36 thousand in Maharashtra State.
DTE Maharashtra is holding Centralised Allotment Process CAP 2017 for admission to 12 Universities, namely, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University; Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded; Mumbai University; SNDT Women’s University; Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere; North Maharashtra University, Savitribai Phule Pune University; Shivaji University; Solapur University; Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University; Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University and Gondwana University.
