Millie Bobby Brown’s new Netflix project will see her California-bound. The production of the biographical drama ‘Perfect,’ which is inspired by the life of Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Kerri Strug, will commence in the California cities of Riverside and Ventura during the spring of 2026. Gia Coppola, the granddaughter of director Francis Ford Coppola, will helm the film from a script by Ronnie Sandahl.

The story dramatizes Kerri Strug’s inspirational true account of overcoming adversity to lead Team USA to their first gold medal in the 1996 Olympics. She executed the vault on an injured ankle to steal victory for the US from defeat. The photo of her injured self being carried off the mat by her coach is ranked as one of the most enduring moments in Olympic annals. Millie Bobby Brown’s recent appearance was as Michelle in the sci-fi film ‘The Electric State’ on Netflix, which also featured Chris Pratt. Her other Netflix projects include the fantasy drama ‘Damsel,’ the ‘Enola Holmes’ films, and the award-winning sci-fi horror series ‘Stranger Things.’ Apart from these, we have also witnessed her playing Madison Russell in ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ and ‘Godzilla vs. Kong.’

We will soon witness her in the much-awaited Season 5 of ‘Stranger Things,’ releasing in November. ‘Enola Homes 3’ is also in post-production and is set to be released. Gia Coppola also directed ‘The Last Showgirl,’ a film based on an experienced showgirl (Pamela Anderson) and how she has to cope with the untimely closure of her show; ‘The Seven Faces of Jane,’ which is all about a woman called Jane whose life has been visualized by eight various filmmakers; and comedy drama ‘Mainstream’ starring Andrew Garfield, Maya Hawke, and Nat Wolff, which is based on a love triangle of the rapidly changing internet era. Some other biographical dramas shot in California are ‘Oppenheimer,’ ‘Swiped,’ ‘Ford v Ferrari,’ and ‘The Wolf of Wall Street.’ Read More: ‘The Wayfinders’ Renewed for Season 2 at AngelA
