MP, Vikram Sahney announces Rs. 1 Crore for Drug Rehab Centres: Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, MP Rajya Sabha announced Rs. 1 Crore for upgrading all 19 Drug Rehab Centres in Punjab. His NGO, Sun Foundation, is already running Drug Rehab Centres in Amritsar, Jalandhar & Mohali.
An MOU to this effect was signed with the Department of Health, Government of Punjab. While thanking Mr. Sahney, Dr. Balbir Singh, Hon’ble Health & Family Welfare Minister of Punjab appreciated the efforts of Mr. Sahney and his NGO, Sun Foundation for upgrading and providing skills and other activities to youth in these Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centres in Punjab.
Shri. Sahney stated that various skills like Data Entry Operator, Electrician, Plumber, Mobile Repair, Organic Farming along with Yoga, Gym Fitness and Sports facilities are being provided for rehabilitation of the youth.
