DAV College Sector-10 Chandigarh celebrated National Mathematics Day on 7h March 2018. Inter college contest was conducted by Mathematics Department. The college received 15 teams from different colleges to participate in various event like Quiz, Power Point Presentation, Poster Making etc. In Quiz the First prize was bagged by team of GGDSD College Sec-32. Second prize was bagged by team of DAV College.
Third prize was bagged by team of PGGC-46 College . The incharge of the Quiz was Prof. Mona Narang . In Power Point Presentation, the First prize was bagged by Panjab University , Second prize was bagged by MCM DAV College , Third prize bagged by DAV College . This event was looked after by Dr. Shivani Bedi . In Poster Making Dev Samaj College bagged first position, DAV College and PGGC-46 bagged second and DAV College bagged the third position . The event was looked after by the Prof. Neena Sharma.
All the Students who got first, second and third positions were given cash prizes, Trophies and certificates. The event was sponsored by PSCST and NCSTC, DST. Government of India under National Mathematics Day celebrations. Vivo , Mohan Institute of Mathematics (MIM) sponsered various stalls of motivational game to eradicate the fear and Phobia of Mathematics . The incharge of this event was Prof D.P. Semwal . The event was great successes . Dr B.C. Josan presided over the function. The HOD Prof. Rita Jain thanked all her colleagues and students who worked hard to make the event successful.
