The MP helped restore the original number of seats in the college last year
NewZNew (Chandigarh) : MP Chandigarh Kirron Kher was felicitated today for playing pivotal role in getting fifty seats of MBBS restored at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), sector 32, Chandigarh by the newly entered students. Students had specially invited the MP for this event where Kirron encouraged them in presence of Sh Vineet Joshi, Asst Media Advisor, CPS rank, Punjab and Dr Navdeep Goyal, DSW , Panjab University for doing their best and serving the society.
Apparently last year the original number of seats in the college was reduced by 50 percent for which Kirron raised her voice and helped to restore the seats. The students and parents had thanked her in a specially held event last year too.
On this occasion while meeting the new students Kirron said that I am proud to see you all here because the course you have taken is for the benefit of the society as a whole. I wish to see you all as successful medical practitioners one day and serve others.
The new students of GMCH felicitated MP Kirron Kher as a gesture of thanking her for the valuable contribution. Kirron said that she was committed for Chandigarh and will leave no stone unturned to solve the problems of its residents along with ensuring development of Chandigarh.
Last year with the untiring efforts of Mrs Kher the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare gave its nod to restore the number of seats from 50 to 100 at the Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32.
