NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Preparations for the 68th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam scheduled to be held on November 14, 15 and 16, 2015 began at Delhi today with formal inauguration of voluntary Sewa at the Samagam venue with a cut in the ground by His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission. His gracious spouse Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji also participated in the ceremony. This was stated by Sh. Mohinder Singh Ji Sanyojak at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Sector 30-A, Chandigarh while addressing congregation.
He further said that Lakhs of devotees of the Mission from all over India and abroad are expected to attend the Samagam. Arrangements for their boarding and lodging will be made on the venue itself. The tented township spread over more than 400 acres of land along Burari Road in North Delhi, will have all the necessary amenities like water supply, electricity, sewerage, etc. Besides Langar there will be canteens to provide tea, coffee and snacks at subsidized rates. The huge Satsang Pandal will be surrounded by offices, publication stalls, etc.
Addressing the Sewa Dal volunteers and other devotees Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj said that this international Samagam is organized every year where lakhs of devotees and other God-loving people assemble and create such a magnificent view for the world. He said that coming from various cultures, speaking different languages; they present a beautiful example of unity in diversity.
His Holiness said that to make the stay of participants comfortable and the event blissful for them all, Sewa Dal men and women not only from Delhi and Greater Delhi but several other parts of the country also, come with a spirit of selfless service and participate in the preparations. It is such a big event that the spirit of cooperation becomes a necessity here.
Baba Ji said that the Mission’s volunteers do not serve selflessly during congregations and Samagams but show equal enthusiasm towards the service of community, nation and the mankind through cleanliness and tree plantation drives, etc. He said that this is finding appreciation and recognition across the world and bringing name and fame to the Mission. Our volunteers are becoming a source of inspiration to others everywhere. Baba Ji prayed to the Almighty to bless every devotee to be able to serve the Mission and humanity physically, mentally and materially.
Earlier, Shri V.D. Nagpal, Member Incharge Sewa Dal, General Secretary of the Sant Nirankari Mandal and Co-ordinator for the Samagam appealed to His Holiness to bless the volunteers so that they are able to participate in arrangements for the Samagams with greater and greater zeal and sense of discipline.
On their arrival on the Samagam venue, His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj was welcomed by Shri Gobind Singh, Chairman Central Planning and Advisory Board and Shri V.D. Nagpal. Similarly, Shri JRD Satyarthi, President Sant Nirankari Mandal and Shri K.R. Chadha, Vice-Chairman, Central Planning and Advisory Board gave a floral welcome to Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji.
