Nokia HERE Maps For Android Gets Stable Version

Nokia’s Own HERE Maps on Android has been updated and its stable version has been floored, leaving behind the beta tag. The new update includes new detailed information with numerous new features.

The update brings support for turn-by-turn navigation in new countries – Cyprus, Mayotte and Zimbabwe. Meanwhile, there have been significant improvements to the maps for Comoros, Djibouti, Eritrea, Fiji, Gambia, Liberia, Madagascar, Sierra Leone and Somalia.

New Features of HERE maps:

  • You can tap on any place icon on the map to see more about it or how to get there
  • Traffic incidents show you what’s causing the jam before you have to find out in person
  • You can now download maps in the background — no need to wait for them to finish
  • You can now also download voices to your SD card
  • We adjusted the volume so you can hear turn-by-turn directions more clearly
