NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Due to early sun set and late sun rise in winter season, Haryana Power Distribution Corporations have decided to change the power supply schedule to the rural domestic consumers w.e.f. December 11, 2014.
A spokesman said here today that the decision has been taken as per instructions from Chief Minister Haryana during the DCs / SPs meeting held at Chandigarh recently. The electricity will be supplied to rural domestic consumers from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM (next day). It will facilitate school children to get ready in time.
The electricity will be supplied in the villages from2:00 PM to 4:00 PM daily. Thus the rural domestic consumers will get power for 14 hours daily.
Due to change in power supply schedule to the rural domestic consumers the power supply timings of agricultural tube well consumers will also be revised. The two groups of consumers of this category will get power for 8 hours daily. The first group will be supplied power from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM and the second group will be given power from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Both the groups will be interchanged after three days.
