NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Mr. Prabjot Singh of CSE department 5th semester of CGC landran brought laurels to the city by bagging 3rd position in All India Jeevan Singh Championship Rooler Hockey which was organized at Kurukshetra. Teams from across the country participated in the championship. Prabjot Singh bagged third position in Rooler Hockey and was honored with cash prize of 40,000 rupees.
While congratulating the winner Satnam Singh Sandhu Chairman & President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal Chandigarh Group of Colleges said that participation in sports develop good time management skills, create strategies for improving their skill set, build a strong sense of focus and concentration, develop internal skills for handling pressure, earn how to take calculated risks, and when not to, and take responsibility for one’s success or failure which becomes asset in one’s life to achieve his goals besides being a sportsman as well.
They further informed that effects of sport on the five “C’s” – competence, confidence, connections, character, and caring are considered critical components for positive youth development.
