Proposal for imparting NEET and AIEEE Coaching Under Consideration from next year, says Minister Dr Baljit Kaur : Punjab Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Dr Baljit Kaur has announced to start free coaching for NEET and AIEEE candidates belonging to SC/BC and Minorities at Ambedkar Institute of Careers and Courses at Mohali being run by the Department.
She said that as per the directions of Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Department is committed to help the needy students/candidates desirous to pursue coaching through the Ambedkar Institute. The Institute currently imparts coaching to IAS/PCS/Civil Services aspirants besides running one year course in stenography for graduates. Today, about 45 trainees who got Succeeded to get jobs in State Government’s various departments were felicitated with a trophy and shawl. She said that the candidates who respect the institute as their alma mater bowed to the Institute for slating their future.
The minister announced to enhance the existing stipend amount of IAS/PCS/ Civil Services aspirants getting coaching here, from 3000 to 10000 while of Stenography trainees from 1500 to 5000 that was much awaited for the last many years taking in account the increasing rate of inflation.
She said that the concept of imparting coaching to the weaker sections and needy candidates who want to grow in their lives by cracking competitive exams was purely base on the ideals of Baba Sahib Dr B R Ambedkar. She further said that the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government is doing its best to transform the state into a progressive and healthy state; Rangla Punjab.
The Minister said that the Institute has played a key role in shaping the career of many a people who got coaching from here in the past. The state government would strengthen the institute by expanding infrastructure as well as by recruiting man power, she further added.
Narrating her struggling life during MBBS study from Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Faridkot, she said that it’s hard work that pays back.
She applauded the services of the Old School Association based on the candidates who got jobs by entering the institute.
Principal Secretary Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, V K Meena during his address said that the department under the leadership of Minister Madam would fulfil all the needs of the Institute in coming days.
Director Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Jaspreet Singh, Principal Aashish Kathuria, Old School Association President Sohan Singh and Instructors and Guest Faculty members were present on the occasion.
