NewZNew (Chandigarh) : The Punjab government has amended the syllabus of departmental examination for PCS (Judicial) as per the recommendations of Punjab & Haryana High Court by issuing a notification in this regard.
According to the notification, Paper -3 Constitution Law of India and Paper-4 Punjabi have been abolished as the candidates who has passed Matriculation with Punjabi subject need not to be appear in Punjabi paper of departmental examination of PCS (Judicial Branch). In Paper-1 of Civil Law, The Right to Information Act, 2005 and The Legal Services Authorities Act , 1987 have been introduced while deleting Punjab Relief of Indebtness Act , 7 of 1934 and Punjab Debtors Protection Act, 2 of 1936 have been deleted from syllabus. Besides this, in Paper-2 Revenue Law-1stPaper , The Punjab Abolition of Ala Malikiayt and Talukadari Rights Act, 1953 as amended by Punjab Act 21 of 1961, The Pepsu Abolition of AI Malikiayt Rights Act, 1954, as amended by Punjab Act, 20 of 1961 and Rules there under and Punjab Bhudan Yojna Act,1955, as amended by Punjab Act No.23 of 1957 and Rules there under have been abolished. Similarly in Paper-5 of Criminal Law, The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, The Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2000, The Negotiable Instruments Act, 1981, The Information Technology Act, 2000 and The Punjab Excise Act, 1914 have been introduced.
