With the introduction of this latest Digital Orthopaedic technology we aimed to take joint replacement and trauma care in India to the highest level of accuracy to get superior clinical outcomes which would be difficult to achieve in a conventional way of surgical treatment, said Dr. Wadhwa.
With this facility, Max Hospital would be at par with international hospitals in terms of technology besides helping in boosting medical tourism to the tricity due to cost and technology advantage, asserted Dr. Wadhwa.
“The Suite was the most advanced Orthopaedic equipment thanks to its ability to instantaneously integrate the patient information besides digitally plan the entire procedure and intra-operatively verify the surgical outcomes resulting in better quality of surgeries and substantially reduced chances of re-operation.”
It was a situation of immense pleasure as we could now comprehend the status of our patients much before the actual surgery was performed. The Suite would provide accurate and precise treatment due to its ability to foresee the clinical outcomes prior to the surgery and instantaneous verification of the planned patient image during the surgical procedure inside the operation theatre, he remarked.
Dr Wadhwa further said that with this technology the chances of misalignment or misplacement would be negligible. Since pre-operative planning were executed with utmost accuracy and precision. It would also result in minimal blood loss, instability, loosening and wear of implant and early recovery and reduced hospital stay. The chances of revision surgery were minimal and the patient would live a normal healthy life thereafter, added Dr Wadhwa.
