National Summit held on Technology and Industry, experts from corporates showed up

NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : In this new world of changing business scenario, finding, enticing and retaining customers is becoming more and more important. New solution areas such as Cloud, Business Analytics/Big Data, Enterprise Mobility, Security, Social Networking Technologies and IT Infrastructure Management are now helping the industry to take up this challenge.  To talk upon these important aspects of present business world, the Rayat-Bahra skill development centre organized ‘Infomatica-2015’ at skill development center where experts from big corporate companies took part in panel discussions on Technology and Industry.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman, Rayat-Bahra Group of Institutes and chancellor of RBU said, “Rayat-Bahra Group has emerged as largest educational group in North India in past few years. In continuation to our pursuit in building a strong foundation for our students to build promising careers upon, through quality education, we are sensitive to the changing business environment that is leading to new hiring trends. Keeping this in view, we have organized this national summit where top business leaders would give their perspective on the challenges and the possible solutions on the new trends of competency expectation.”

The inaugural address was given by Rohit Vohra, Director-Talent Acquisition-India/South Asia, IBM followed by the theme address by Rajendra Prasad, MD, Accenture. In the morning session on technology, Cloud Computing trends were discussed by Hari from IBM, Gagandeep Nagra from Google, Vikas Ahuja from Infosys, an official from IBM Mr. Kalyan Mukhopadhyay, Cloud Advisor-Worldwide

Post-lunch happened the industry session in which Banking Informatics were discussed by the panel consisting of Sukhpreet Kalra, Director (HR), Accenture, Vivek Bhushan, Hub CTO, Reliance Jio and Ankush Minocha, Wipro Technologies. Mr. Kshitij Adhalakha, Harkash Technologies,

Mr. Mathew Anthony, Head-Academic SI-Nurture, Akanksha Singh, IBM Recruitment Lead-University Hiring.

While discussing on Cloud Computing, Mr. Hari from IBM explained that Cloud computing and storage solutions provide users and enterprises with various capabilities to store and process their data in third-party data centers. Cloud resources are usually not only shared by multiple users but are also dynamically reallocated as per demand. This can work for allocating resources to users. On the other hand Banking Informatics discussion focused on use of latest software for fast computing and serving the customers hand in hand.

Gagandeep Nagra from Google talked about the implementation of Business Analytics and Big Data in YouTube. He said that initially we focused on entertainment through social networking and sharing. But later we developed our model into a business option wherein every user can take benefits. Dr Sandeep kaura JMD, also shared his views on this topic. Dr. S.K. Bansal, VC, Rayat-Bahra University delivered the vote of thanks in the end.
