NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Students of the primary Section of RIMT World School, Manimajra visited the Fire Station and Police Station to understand the functioning of the police force and further enhance their awareness regarding fire safety. They interacted with the officials of the Fire Department and SHO, Police Station, Manimajra and learnt about fire brigade wireless room & fire extinguishing equipments. The officials at the Police Station spoke to them about the way a police station functions as they visited the control room and other facilities at the police station.
Says Mrs. Poonam Katoch Principal, “We have embarked on an awareness campaign regarding life skills and safety drills at the grassroots level. The visit was planned under this. The visit helped the primary wing students understand how the fire department & police function in reaction to calls of fire situations as well as crime respectively.”
The department also explained regarding Helpline numbers to be called in case of emergencies. This was a great learning experience for the students.
