SCERT Odisha admit card 2017 has been made available online for all the applicants as the entrance examination is scheduled to be held on 9th July, Sunday. The Directorate of Teacher Education and SCERT, Odisha will be conducting the state-level entrance examination for admission to different teacher education courses i.e. D.El.Ed., Diploma in Art Education (Visual), B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education), B.H.Ed., M.Ed. and M.Phil (Education). The official websites for downloading the admit card are: scertodisha.nic.in and scertodishaadmission.in.
The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) had notified the entrance exam for admission to teacher education courses being offered by DIETs, BIETs, government and non-government teacher education institutions for the academic session 2017-18/ 2019. The online applications were submitted from May 30 to June 20 and as notified, the SCERT Odisha admit card was released online on Saturday. There are around 2,000 seats in B.Ed., 6,650 seats in D.El.Ed. and 250 seats in M.Ed. course.
The pattern of entrance exam depend on the courses a candidate has applied to. The B.Ed. entrance exam will be conducted as two papers in a single shift (2 pm to 4.30 pm). The Paper 1 will be common for both Arts and Science group candidates, while Paper 2 will be divided in two sections (A & B) in which Section A will be of Arts group and B for Science group. Paper 1 will comprise of 50 multiple choice questions to test the candidates on Language (English), Education & General Awareness, Reasoning, and Teaching Aptitude. Paper 2 will have 100 questions, each of 1 mark.
The entrance test for D.El.Ed. and M.Ed. courses will be of 100 marks and the candidates will be given 2 hours to solve the question paper. The D.El.Ed. entrance test will be divided into two sections: Section 1 of 40 marks and Section 2 of 60 marks. The entrance test for M.Ed. course will have 100 multiple choice questions, each carrying 1 mark.
Directorate has decided to conduct the entrance test in district/ sub-divisional head quarters of all 30 districts of the State. The applicants were sent SMS on their registered mobile phones prior to the release of SCERT Odisha admit card. They can download the admit card from the official website through login ID and are required to carry the same to the test venue to gain access into the examination hall.
As per the selection process, the candidates will be ranked on the basis of the entrance test marks and the merit list will be prepared both category-wise and subject-wise after the declaration of entrance test results.
