The world ‘sizzler’ comes from the sizzle that one hears when, after heating the dish under a grill.
Dishes here are prepared with keeping the modern preferences of people in mind. “The sauces decide which cuisine a particular sizzler pertains to. If it’s Italian, we flavor the dish with a tomato-based sauce, whereas for Mexican Cuisine, we serve a salsa sauce. Mint flavored sauces are used for Indian sizzlers and mushroom cream is used for serving continental varieties,” as explained by Mr. Bidesh Biswas, Executive Chef, Hometel Chandigarh.
