Students exhibits scientific models at Maharishi Dayanand Public School Daria



NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Maharishi Dayanand Public School Daria, Chandigarh in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology Chandigarh Administration organized a Scientific Models Exhibition.

It was inaugurated by Secretary of D.A.V. College Managing Committee New Delhi, Ravinder Talwar. He examined and appreciated the models prepared by the students to popularized science and technology. Model prepared by Aakanksha and Sunny conveyed the idea that the environment could be kept clean with the use of science. They also expressed that renewable energy had favourable effect on natural resources.

Aarti and Archna, through their model expressed the danger of smoke coming out of factories and vehicles which is harmful for the living beings. It would be essential to use modern techniques to save the environment from the pollution. Simran Sood and Prem Prabha exhibited the utility of solar light in houses, street and on roads. Jitender and Dhananjay through their model of windmill emphasized on increasing the capacity of solar energy.


Rohit and Druvash conveyed the fact that due to increasing global warming glaciers are melting which might ultimately lead to emersion of earth in water. Banishi, Sandeep Kaur and Shiva gave the message of improving the transport system. Muskan Gupta and Deepika presented the seasonal variation. Other students conveyed useful ideas about converting the waste into the best, disposable of garbage, study of flowers and the human body system through their models.

Harshpreet and Raj Kumar, Chetan and Jashan, Tiya and Payal stood first, second and third for junior category respectively while Shakti and Syshant, Surya Prakash and Balwinder Singh, Pardeep and Aasha bagged first, second and third prizes

Dr. Vinod Kumar, Principal of the school said that the main idea of arranging the exhibition was to create awareness about the increasing popularity of science.
