NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : 15 days fun filled summer camp concluded at Oakridge International School. The camp was divided into two categories juniors and seniors and offered various activities. Children got to choose from a range of workshops like swimming, dancing, art, Lawn tennis, theatre and music. The Star workshops were Robotics and Baking which the children enjoyed to the fullest. Children made robotic cars, catapult, glider, parachute and many more.
Young children learnt how to bake pound cake, trifle pudding, tarts, pizza, garlic breads and salads. During the camp children also went on a picnic where they played games and enjoyed a good picnic spread. The camp concluded with a showcase where the children showcased their learning from the camp. The show started with the children showing their swimming skills. From bubbling to floating to back stroke and butterfly stroke which were performed amazingly by children. The children then showcased dance and drama .Parents also admired art exhibition in which kids had created wind chimes, sock bunnies, table coasters and various others.
Principal, Oakridge International School Ramanjit Ghuman appreciated the parents the efforts in shaping the personality of their child by enrolling them in such camps .She further said that confidence and effective communication skill is key to success in life .Such events boost confidence and improve communication skill of the children. She also encouraged the participants and advised them to work hard to excel in sports as well as in academics.
