NewZNew (Chandigarh) : To ensure the attendance of the officers and the staff in the Government offices, Punjab Government has issued instructions to carry out surprise checks in the morning as well as in the evening. To enforce these instructions, Sh. G.S Ghuman, IAS, Director, Technical Education & Industrial Training, Punjab has done a surprise checking in the office today at 9.00 AM.
Divulging the details a spokesman said that Mr. Ghuman has found a total of 42 staff members (9 officers and 33 officials) absent from duty during the surprise check. He has directed the respective Additional Directors dealing with administration to call explanations of the officers/officials found absent within three days, so that necessary action can be taken against the absentees.
