Swachh Bharat Pakhwada was initiated in the DAV College Sector 10 Chandigarh by Swachhata pledge ceremony by Principal of the College, Dr B. C. Josan on 15 September 2017 . He exhorted the staff and the students to follow the saying “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” in letter and spirit
Dr Raman Soni, Coordinator of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan sensitized the students about the importance of cleanliness and sanitation in daily lives. For disseminating the Swachh Mission, Department of Botany and Zoology organized various competitions (Poster making, Collage making, Slogan writing and Essay writing) under the theme”Swachh Bharat”. The students participated with enthusiasm and were excited to contribute to this cause and appreciated the college initiative towards cleanliness.
