Telangana Delegates Welcomed at NIT Hamirpur under Yuva Sangam Programme: The Telangana delegates participating in the Yuva Sangam programme reached NIT Hamirpur on 23 December 2024.
A warm welcome ceremony was organized to greet the visiting youth, aged 18–30 years, selected by MANUU Hyderabad for this educational and cultural tour. The delegates were formally welcomed by the Nodal Officer of Yuva Sangam, Dr. Param Singh, and the Assistant Nodal Officer, Dr. Sreeram T. S. During their five-day journey across Himachal Pradesh, the group will visit various places of Dharamshala, Palampur, and Hamirpur, immersing themselves in the state’s rich culture and natural beauty.
The Director of NIT Hamirpur, Prof. Hiralal Murlidhar Suryawanshi, the Registrar, Dr. Archana Santosh Nanoty, the Dean of Student Welfare, Dr. Ashok Kumar, and Dean of, Student Activity and Scholarship, Dr. Pradeep Singh, extended their best wishes to the delegates for a successful and enriching trip.
The much-anticipated Yuva Sangam Phase V program commenced, bringing together youth from MANUU Hyderabad, Telangana, to foster deeper connections and appreciation for the nation’s rich diversity. Centered around the 5Ps—Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Progress), Prodyogiki (Technology), and Paraspar Sampark (People-to-People Connect)—the program aims to inspire a spirit of unity, innovation, and shared progress.
Participants will embark on curated visits to iconic landmarks, cultural sites, and industrial hubs, enhancing their understanding of India’s heritage, economic development, and technological advancements.
Interactive workshops will celebrate traditional art, music, and culinary practices, fostering pride in the nation’s cultural tapestry. Cultural visits to Dharamshala, Shimla, Palampur, and Hamirpur will provide insights into the rich heritage, vibrant traditions, and unique cultural practices of Himachal Pradesh, while tours of SAI (Sports Authority of India) facilities will emphasize sports’ role in holistic development.
Industrial visits at PGCIL and technical visits at NIT Hamirpur, CSIR-IHBT Palampur & GDC Hamirpur will showcase India’s achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship. At its core, Yuva Sangam Phase V seeks to build bridges between communities through interactive events, discussions, and cultural exchanges, strengthening mutual understanding among participants from diverse backgrounds.
The program will culminate in a grand public function celebrating achievements and shared experiences. Organized in collaboration with MANUU Hyderabad, Telangana, the initiative reflects India’s vision to empower its youth as ambassadors of change and unity.
