ART EXHIBITION ‘THE FLUID ART’ HELD AT THE ENGINE ROOM
NewZNew (Chandigarh) : An Art Exhibition ‘The Fluid Art’, showcasing a very different genre of art work was held at The Engine Room, Sec 8, Chandigarh. The art works at the exhibition were made painstakingly by a young Artiste – 23-Year-Old Ms. Aneet Sidhu.
The concept at the exhibition was that some or the other visually appealing and very intricately made patterns were made in each art work displayed and each pattern repeated itself to give meaning & appeal to the painting. Said Ms Aneet, “As an artist I have always wanted to experiment. The art at this exhibition is certainly experimental and all pattern designs have been created using different inks as mediums. The surfaces on which the art has been made ranges from soft paper to hard canvass. I have made it a point that the framing of the art does not repeat itself and that each piece is framed differently.”
Seven pieces of art were put up at the Solo Exhibition by Aneet, which took her over 4 months to make. Aneet also has an interest in landscape painting and pen drawings; she had therefore also showcased some of her works which are not based on the Pattern style at ‘The Fluid Art’. Sums up Aneet, “I have been doing customized art work for people who have different tastes and want certain type and kind of paintings. My forte is also creative concepts for the house and office.” Aneet’s style indeed falls in a very ‘eclectic’ segment and though every painting on display had a different pattern, there was still a feeling of a common style that came on viewing the paintings.
