Venus Remedies adopts govt school in Panchkula, resolves to develop it the ‘smart’ way: As part of its ongoing initiatives to give back to the society by creating a better tomorrow for school children from disadvantaged sections, leading pharmaceutical organisation Venus Remedies has adopted Government Model Sanskriti Primary School, Sector 19, Panchkula with the purpose of transforming it into a smart school.
Venus Remedies will bring about the comprehensive development of the school by developing the infrastructure for smart classrooms, setting up laboratories, ensuring clean drinking water and sanitation facilities, arranging full-time housekeepers and providing sports equipment. It will also provide financial assistance to poor students and work towards upgrading the skills of both students and staff.
After a thorough assessment of the immediate requirements of the school, the company has renovated the girls’ toilet to begin with under its Health, Sanitation and Hygiene Programme.
Commenting on the initiative, Venus Remedies Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer Akshansh Chaudhary said, “In a world where millions of children suffer due to lack of education and health infrastructure, we believe it’s our responsibility to make a difference in their lives. Our resolve to transform this government school into a smart institution is another step towards it. The renovation of the girls’ toilet is just the beginning.”
Venus Medicine Research Centre CEO Saransh Chaudhary said Venus Remedies is proud to be a catalyst for positive change in the community. “We believe that by investing in education and infrastructure, we contribute to the growth of the community at large,” he said.
The company’s social welfare wing has reached out to hundreds of students in slums and adjoining villages of Panchkula through drives conducted from time to time to generate awareness about health, sanitation and hygiene under its IndiaSterocked campaign.
