Sh. B.M. Vyas, Ex. MD Amul shared his experiences and inspired the young recruits
NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Verka conducted the induction program for its new recruits at its plant in Mohali to help them integrate them into the work environment of MILKFED. A total of 39 recruits joined at different positions.
Mr. Amarjit Singh Sidhu, Chairman, MILKFED welcomed the new recruits and said, “MILKFED has glorious history of been the most admired brand in Punjab for over 50 years. The foundation of this success has been the values of integrity, transparency, shared prosperity and accountability. The team at Verka has worked untiringly to make it a household name. We expect the new recruits to adhere to these core values. Young minds are full of enthusiasm and passion. Our senior experts will channelize their energy well to deliver great results for them, our customers and the organization. “
Sh. B.M. Vyas, Ex. MD Amul was present on the occasion and shared the success story of Amul with them. He advised all the trainees to develop/capture new market to increase Verka market share at their respective place of posting. He mentioned that milk is one of the food items, which is consumed all over India and is affordable to the most of consumers. He also stressed that IT has the power to revolutionize the dairy industry by digitizing every step involved in process. He also said this is the time of next Operation Flood & this would lead to increase in milk production in India to 450 MMT by the year 2022.He also discussed about the contribution of Dr. V. Kurien who was a renowned Indian social activist and is best known as the “Father of the White Revolution”. He also described the loss of pure Indian genetic material of cattle and its implications that India faced in its post independence era.
The session was quite motivating for the first time executives. A plantation drive was conducted to mark the program.
