NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Sh. Vijay Dev IAS, Adviser to Administrator, U.T Chandigarh inaugurated the elegant Garden of Springs, Sector-53, Chandigarh today at 10.00 A.M. Worthy Adviser to the Administrator also appreciated the efforts put forth by Engineering and Architect Department for their contribution for setting up this beautiful garden. He dedicated the Garden of Springs, Sector-53, Chandigarh to the citizens of southern sectors as well as to the surroundings citizens of the Punjab.
Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary-cum-Secretary Tourism present on this occasion also spoken that with the concentrated efforts put in by the Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India an elegant Garden of Springs has come into an existence. He further informed that this beautiful Garden of Springs consists of various varieties of flowers, blooming trees, Tourist Huts and benches, Walkways for Tourists, Artistic Bridges over the rivulet for convenience of tourists, Public Toilets and parking facility.
He further informed that to promote Tourism in Chandigarh, similar garden in southern sector namely Garden of Conifer, Sector-52, Chandigarh shall likely be opened soon for the public which will further promote Chandigarh as a destination of “A City of Greens & Gardens”.
Sh. Jitender Yadav, IAS, Director Tourism, Chandigarh Administration while speaking on this occasion given Vote of Thanks to Hon’ble Chief Guest and Secretary Tourism for their precious time to inaugurate the garden and also appreciated the work done by the Engineering Department, U.T. Chandigarh officers as well as the workers.
On this occasion, Ms. Tapasya Raghav, IAS, SDM East, Kapil Setia, Chief Architect, S.K. Chadha, Chief Engineer and senior officers of Chandigarh Administration and Sh. Darshan Garg, Area Councillor were also present.
