A top-level delegation from the Mari State University is in India and are looking out for possibilities to organize summer practice for students of MBBS in Russia in top hospitals in India during their summer vacations in India. The delegation comprises of Mr. Mikhail Shvetsov, Rector, Mari State University, Russia and Ms. Irina Petrova, Vice- Chancellor, Mari State University, Russia. They have been visiting top hospitals in the country collecting Information about the available departments for clinical practice for students.
The delegation seeks supervision and control of summer practice for Indian students under the head of department or Professors of University. They are also disseminating Information about the practical skills that can be taught in hospitals during the summer practice session for Indian students of KSMU.
In addition, possibilities to send a limited number of students to Russia is also being discussed. The Doctors can also visit Russia to enhance their skills. There is also an opportunity of sending students of Indian Medical Universities to Russian hospitals under student exchange programs. Faculty exchange programs on the subjects of particular interest like Public health and social medicine, Internal medicine/therapy, tropical infections etc. is also on the cards.
The Delegation visited Rockland hospital and AIIMS on 14th November, 2018 and received an overwhelming response from both the hospitals. Rus Education was proud to know that many Indian graduates who completed MBBS in Russia in top medical universities of Russia were working on senior positions in different super specialties in All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
It has been assumed that soon the memorandum of understanding (MOU) will be signed between Mari State University and AIIMS Hospital.
The delegation is looking forward to have many more such collaborations from the Indian Universities and hospitals.
