NewZNew (Chandigarh) : The youth connect initiative “Young Manch 2” of Videocon Telecom & Connect Broadband, the versatile, friendly and dynamic telecom brand of the $4 billion worth Videocon Group, is now inching towards grand finale stage. The contest has been organised in association with Connect Broadband, Punjab’s leading Broadband player and Videocon D2H.

The city finale of this mega contest was held at Chandigarh University, Gharuan, Chandigarh Zone. About 50 shortlisted participants from audition rounds showcased their talent for a place in the Grand Finale. Grand Finale will be held at Chandigarh on 21st November 2014.

The initiative taken last year by Videocon Telecom to engage youth to showcase their talent got a overwhelming and splendid response from the students. Owing to the success of the program, the Videocon Telecom rolled out season 2 of the initiative last month with events done across 152 colleges/institutes in 52 cities in Punjab and Haryana.  The program, which is now inching towards Grand finale, witnessed a record participation from over 12,000 students, connecting with over 5 lakh students. Now, the winners from various institutes competed in the city finale at Chandigarh University, Gharuan with various participants of Chandigarh zone from across the cities and colleges to secure their position to compete in the grand finale, which is planned on 21st Nov 2014. The winners from these colleges and institutes are being selected through a powerful on-ground event and social media voting platforms including Facebook and YouTube.

The City Finale event at Chandigarh University, Gharuan, witnessed enormous enthusiasm and participation. The event saw a spectacular combination of buzz and excitement in the institute auditorium and observed huge partaking from students in various engaging activities like dancing, singing, playing musical instruments, ramp walk and others.
