Under the war against drugs campaign launched by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Punjab S. Bhagwant Singh Mann to make the state drug-free, drug-free yatras are being conducted in villages and people are also getting full support in making the campaign successful. On the arrival of MLA Fazilka Mr. Narinder Pal Singh Sawna and Madam Khushbu Sawna at village Jandwala Mirasangla, the youth welcomed the drug-free yatra by waving the flags of the war against drugs campaign at the villages.

Addressing the villages of Koyal Khera, Bakain Wala and Jandwala Mirasangla, MLA Fazilka Mr. Sawna said that the dream of making the state drug-free by the Punjab government can be fulfilled only with the cooperation of the youth and with the contribution of the people, many actions have been taken against drug smugglers in the last three months. He said that drug smugglers are being thrown in jails and properties built in a wrong way are also being demolished.
Mr. Narinder Pal Singh Sawna said that along with taking action against drug traffickers, the government is also committed to providing treatment to drug addicts. He said that due to getting caught in bad company, our survivors have gone into a quagmire, and it is our duty to get them out and connect them with the mainstream of society. He said that after getting the drug addicts treated by the government, the youth is being connected with employment by conducting skill courses so that they do not fall victim to this evil scourge again. He also asked the villagers to form youth clubs in the villages. Khushbu Sawansukha Sawna, while addressing on this occasion, said that the one who sells drugs is not anyone’s relative, not anyone’s friend, he is anti-social and our young generation should avoid such elements. He said that parents should take care of their children in the early stages that they are eating and drinking properly, their temperament is good, if they are not behaving properly at home, then talk to the child to see if he has any problems. This will save the young generation from bad company and will stop using drugs. Apart from this, he gave a message to the attendees to raise their voice against drugs. During this, the villagers were also administered an oath to stay away from drugs.

On this occasion, MLA Fazilka and Madam Khushboo Sawna provided sports equipment to the children and youth so that the youth would be enthusiastic about sports and stay healthy by protecting themselves from bad habits.On this occasion, BDPO Gagandeep Kaur, Coordinator Rajesh Khurana, Soma Rani, Lovepreet, Raghubir Samla etc. dignitaries were present.Proposed for BoxPark inaugurated at Koyal Khera MLA Fazilka Mr. Narinder Pal Singh Sawna and Madam Khushbu Sawna inaugurated the park prepared at a cost of Rs. 9 lakh at village Koyal Khera. He said that efforts are being made in the villages to keep the youth and children away from drugs and motivate them to play sports so that the future of our young generation is bright. He said that along with parks, sports equipment and gym equipment are also being provided to the youth.
