With multiple highly regarded roles to her name, Zendaya, who started her career as a Disney Channel teen star, has since grown to become a worldwide celebrity. She has continuously pushed boundaries and defied expectations throughout her career in front of the camera, from “Shake It Up” to “K.C. Undercover,” “Dune,” “Euphoria,” “Challengers,” and “Spider-Man.” We present to you all of her upcoming films and television shows as interest in what she has in store for the audience grows.
1. The Odyssey (July 17, 2026)
Zendaya will appear in Christopher Nolan’s film “The Odyssey,” which is a feature adaptation of Homer’s epic poem about Odysseus, the Greek king of Ithaca, and his treacherous return trip following the Trojan War. The film will depict his reunion with his wife, Penelope, as well as his interactions with Circe, Polyphemus, and the Sirens. Tom Holland plays Telemachus, and Matt Damon plays Odysseus. Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong’o, Jon Bernthal, Mia Goth, Cosmo Jarvis, and Elliot Page make up the remaining cast. The film is currently in post-production and is scheduled for release on July 17, 2026.
2. Spider-Man: Brand New Day (July 31, 2026)
The fourth entry in the MCU’s “Spider-Man” franchise, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” will feature Zendaya reprising her role as Michael Jackson. Based on a story by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film is currently in production and is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Along with Liza Colón-Zayas and Sadie Sink, the cast also features Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, and Jacob Batalon as Ned. 3. Dune: Part Three (December 18, 2026)
Zendaya is playing Chani again in Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Three,” which is currently in production. Timothée Chalamet plays Paul Atreides/Muad’dib, Florence Pugh plays Princess Irulan, and Jason Momoa plays Duncan Idaho. Robert Pattinson is rumored to play a character called Scytale, while Ida Brooke will play the role of Ghanima. The narrative, which Villeneuve and Jon Spaihts adapted from Frank Herbert’s book, follows Paul/Muad’dib as he realizes an old plan to establish a superbeing ruler among men. On December 18, 2026, the film will be released.
4. Euphoria Season 3 (2026)
In 2026, the third season of “Euphoria” on HBO Max will premiere. As Rue Bennett, who battled her drug addiction in Season 2, Zendaya will return. The characters will graduate from high school in the third season, which consists of eight episodes. Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow are among the other cast members who are returning. Colman Domingo will make a comeback as a special guest. Anna Van Patten, James Landry Hébert, Priscilla Delgado, and Darrell Britt-Gibson will all play significant guest star roles. Storm Reid, Barbie Ferreira, Algee Smith, and Nika King are among the cast members who have confirmed they will not be returning for the third season. The return of Dominic Fike is still pending confirmation. On July 31, 2023, Angus Cloud, who portrayed Fezco in seasons one and two, passed away. More information is pending, and filming is currently in progress.
5. Shrek 5 (June 30, 2027)
In January 2025, production on the eagerly awaited “Shrek 5” started. The film, which was written by Michael McCullers and Christopher Meledandri and directed by Walt Dohrn and Brad Ableson, features Eddie Murphy as Donkey, Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona, and Mike Myers reprising his role as Shrek. Felicia, the daughter of Shrek and Fiona, will be voiced by Zendaya. Although the plot is currently unknown, “Shrek 5” is scheduled for release on June 30, 2027. 6. The Drama (TBA)
In Kristoffer Borgli’s romantic drama “The Drama,” Zendaya will be starring opposite Robert Pattinson. Borgli wrote the screenplay for the A24-supported film, which follows a couple whose relationship is upended just days before their wedding when one partner learns disturbing information about the other. Michael Abbott Jr., Alana Haim, and YaYa Gosselin are also part of the cast. There are also rumors that Mamoudou Athie is a member of the cast. The film is awaiting a release date after completing post-production.
7. Be My Baby (TBA)
In Barry Jenkins’ biographical drama “Be My Baby,” Zendaya will portray Ronnie Spector, the iconic lead singer of the Ronettes, an American girl group from Spanish Harlem, New York. David Kajganich and Jackie Sibblies Drury adapted the movie from Spector’s self-titled memoir, which she co-wrote with Vince Waldron. The movie will show the audience the singer’s life with the troubled record producer Phil Spector, but the plot is still being kept secret. “Be My Baby,” which is still in development, has not yet started production, and additional information about the remaining cast members is still pending.
