NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Gilard Electronics Pvt. Ltd. today announced the results and felicitated the winners of the competition which was held last month on the theme of ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ of the Indian Government, as conveyed by Miss Guneet Sethi, Director HRD & CSR of Gilard Electronics Pvt. Ltd.
The winners were felicitated by the company amidst the start-studded function held here at Gilard’s premises in Phase 8 Industrial area today.
Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. B.M. Sharma, Executive Director, Markfed. He is also comendy actor. While speaking on the occasion he lauded the initiative of Gilard Electronics and said it was indeed praiseworthy when such initiatives are undertaken by private sector to take forward a cause.
A skit on the campaign was performed by Gilardians. some stars from TV and movies were special guest. Ms. Anshu Sawhney, a popular face on T.V. Channel (PTC) has hosted many shows. “Preeto Top 10” has been her most popular TV Show. She has also acted in some Punjabi movies, “Carry on Jatta” being one of them.
Gurjit Singh, another popular host of various shows on PTC, the most recent one being, ‘The Voice of Punjab’. His Punjabi movie is also releasing soon. Master Japtej Singh who played the role of young Milkha Singh in the movie, Bhag Milkha Bhag which bagged many awards was also among the performers. He had received the “Best Child artist Award” in the 20th Screen Awards.
Ms. Guneet Sethi, Director HRD and CSR of Gilard Electronics Pvt. Ltd. while speaking on the occasion said, “Gilard started its ‘Green Wave’ in the year 2011 with the intention of educating our team of 350 plus employees and their families with regard to the need for Environment protection. With the understanding that young children are the future of our nation, we encourage our employees to involve their children in the contests held under the Green Wave.”
She added, “This year we have adopted the mantra of much talked about ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ of the Indian Government. This dream can come true only if all Indians understand and commit themselves to it. Under this competition they had to submit posters on the subject, “Swachh Bharat” which would be displayed at company premises.
