100 plus horses will participate in Chandigarh Horse Show: The festival season is going to be even more exciting for the residents of Chandigarh. The ‘Chandigarh Horse Show’ will be held at City Beautiful from October 29 to October 31.
The show is being organized at New Chandigarh based equestrian club ‘The Ranch’ where participants from different parts of the country with more than 100 horses will grace the event.
Giving information about the Chandigarh Horse Show at Chandigarh Press Club today, Dilpreet Sidhu, Executive Leader of Chandigarh Horse Show said that the show will be inaugurated by Chandigarh SSP Kuldeep Chahal. Along with this, on the last day of the show, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and DGP Punjab Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota will be present as chief guests.
The show jumping and tent pegging event will be organized as per the guidelines of the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI). Executive Leader of CHS Dilpreet Sidh, Sarbuland Singh Mann, Aashna Vinod Gupta, Gursher Singh Badal Coordinator The Ranch, Amanat Chahal, Harjinder Khosa, Sports Event Coordinator of The Ranch, Deepinder Brar Administrative Leader and Mehtab Singh Gill were present on the occasion.
Giving more information, Gursher Dhillon, Chief Coordinator at The Ranch said that the main objective of the show is to promote equestrian sport among people of all age groups. Horse riding as a sport has a lot of reach in the western countries but it still needs to be promoted to that level in India. The Chandigarh Horse Show will help in taking horse riding forward in Punjab and Tricity.
Teams from Indian Navy, Chandigarh Police, Haryana Police, Gurgaon Horse Club, PAP Punjab, Budda Dal School Patiala, Vardhinand Horse Academy and many more will participate in the Show. The show will offer a carnival experience through food stalls, games for kids, horse riding etc.
