Chair in the name of Shaheed Udham Singh would be established at one of the Haryana University
116th Birthday celebrated at Chandigarh.
NewZNew (Chandigarh – Kulbir Singh Kalsi) : Haryana Minister for State (Transport Food & Civil Supply & Environment) Mr. Karan Dev Kamboj said he will meet Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Surface Transport Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari to install picture of Shaheed Udham Singh at Central Hall of Parliament. He will also meet Mr Nitin Gadkari for the naming of one the Road of National Capital in the name of Shaheed Udham Singh ji. He was addressing a mammoth gathering at Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial Bhawan at sector 44-C Chandigarh while celebrating 116thBirthday of Saheed Udham Singh.
He told the gathering that he will peruse the Chief Minister of Haryana Mr Manohar Lal for announcing martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh should be celebrated by Haryana Government officially. At this moment he said he will also stress the matter with central government for the bringing back the belongings of Shaheed Udham singh ji from England . It is also to be mentioned that Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial bhawan Sociery Chandigarh is contracting a Big Hall at at 44-c Chandigarh. At this occasion minister announced a grant of 5 lack for this under construction bhawan. On this occasion Mr Kamboj said that he will take the matter of with State Government to establish a Chair in the name of Saheed Udham singh at any of the state University. He also emphasized the “Beti Bachao Beti Padao” movement of Central government. He alarmed for the declining of sex ratio in Haryana state.
On this occasion a documentary “The Equalizer ” – Udham Singh” made by BBC on the life of Shaheed Udham singh ji was also shown to the ordnance. Minister lauded the film and asked to translate the same in Hindi and Punjabi languages. On this occasion minister Mr Kamboj honored Ms. K Josan a young athlete of Kaithal.

Mr Bharpur Singh and Youth Leader Mr. Sanjeev Kamboj,Women Wing of Society Ms. Veena Jammu and other prominent community leaders spoke on this occasion.
On this occasion a free medical camp and a suger check up camp organized on this occasion under the patron ship of Society in which Ortho special Dr. Sanjeev Kamboj, Gynecologist Dr. Jyoti, Dr Vaneet and Dr Gurdarshan Kaur also checked the patients. Free medicines also given to the patients and blood sugar checked by Metro Hospital.
