Underprivileged Children Showcase Talent at Tarang 2015

NewZNew (Chandigarh) : AIESEC in Chandigarh organised Balakalkaar, which was day 2 of their social responsibility initiative “Tarang 2015”. It provided a platform to the underprivileged children of the tricity to showcase their talents and comprised of a dance competition, a drawing competition and a talent show.

The winner of Talent Show was Kuldeep from the Institute of Blind while Gyan, an NGO won prize for a group dance performance.

The event had participation of more than 750 children from different NGOs and was graced by the presence of Mr. Vijay Dev, UT Adviser as the chief guest who while addressing the audience stressed on the importance of providing such a platform to these children.

A five km marathon was organised by AIESEC here on Sunday the first day of Tarang 2015. It was a run for communal harmony as a part of their social responsibility initiative “Tarang 2015” to make the people of tricity realise their duties towards the society and join hands to contribute their bit.

Around 250 people gathered at the venue and ran for a peaceful world and demonstrated their support for communal harmony. The marathon ended by felicitation of the winners, who included Manpreet who bagged the first position, Jatinder came second and Karanpreet Singh came third in the marathon. The event was a success as it witnessed several people voluntarily coming together to support a noble cause.
