NewZNew (Chandigarh) : The biggest Travel & Tourism Exhibition of Chandigarh, India Travel Mart was certainly a crowd puller on its 1st day, witnessing throngs of people visiting the exhibition. The visitors were not only attracted to the beautiful pavilions installed by different State Tourism boards but also got information about exclusive and exotic destinations in India & Abroad. The concept of Wildlife, Pilgrimage, Adventure and Medical Tourism was a unique idea for everybody at the exhibition. The USP of the exhibition was a direct interaction with leading Hotels, Resorts, Travel agents, Tour Operators from India and Abroad for the customers.
The exhibition inaugurated today by Shri Anurag Aggarwal, IAS, Home Secretary and Secretary Tourism at Himachal Bhawan, Secor-28B, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh, in the presence of leading industrialists, Hoteliers, Tour Operators and Travel Agents and Media.
The Host states of the exhibition are Chandigarh Tourism and CITCO, Partner State is Rajasthan Tourism, Co-partner states are Uttarakhand Tourism, Goa Tourism, Gujarat Tourism, Himachal Pradesh Tourism and Jammu & Kashmir Tourism with feature states being West Bengal Tourism, Madhya Pradesh Tourism, Jharkhand Tourism, Kerala Tourism, Karnataka Tourism, Haryana Tourism, Uttar Pradesh Tourism & Andaman and Nicobar Island Tourism.

The special crowd puller is painting competition for children of all ages; the theme is Travel and their understanding of the Stalls at the Exhibition for all three days. A Travel quiz was also organized where the enthusiasm of the children knew no bounds. It was a simple General Knowledge quiz based on different travel destinations as showcased in the exhibition. Winners for both the competition were given gifts. The main attraction for the kids apart from the painting and quiz competition was their favorite cartoon characters, Chotta Bheem and Doraemon present at the venue. The kids had a gala time having their pictures clicked with their favourite cartoon characters.
