NewZNew (Bathinda) : Under the “From Street to School” campaign, the District Child Protection Unit Bathinda conducted a survey of the street children till Jan 31, 2015. During this survey 585 children were identified who do not go to school.
Now under the second phase of this campaign, the Aadhar card enrollment and medical examination of these 585 children is being conducted. The work on enrollment for Aadhar card started under the assistant commissioner (grievances) Miss Charumita today. She said that after the completion of formalities these children would be admitted in schools.
District Child Protection Officer Mrs Ravneet Kaur said that today Aadhar enrollment for around 30 children was conducted. After Batinda block, the work would be start at other blocks too simultaneously. After Aadhar enrollment, the children were offered refreshment.
