NewZNew (Chandigarh) : One of the oldest Enfield clubs of India – Road Survivors Chandigarh – is organizing ‘CEAT Ride for Safety’ along with Chandigarh University, Gharuan, to officially unveil ‘CEAT Rider Mania 2015’, an exciting annual riding event of all Bullet Clubs from across India that is scheduled to be organized at The Kikar Lodge, Ropar on 23, 24 and 25 January 2015. Titled ‘DoHajaarPandrah’ (which is 2015 in Punjabi), the mega event will witness a thrilling three-day get-together of over 1,000 riders (including 64 female riders) from across the length and breadth of the country and Nepal, and will witness the participation of over 60 Bullet Clubs.
Being organized under the aegis of ‘BOBMC’ (Brotherhood of Bulleteers Motorcycling Consortium), Rider Mania is being organised in North India for the first time, said Ravneet Juneja, a member of Road Survivors. “To make the kick off truly meaningful, we are also organizing a series of ‘CEAT Ride for Safety’. We’re honoured/excited to have amongst us RJ Abhimanyu to inaugurate today’s CEAT Ride for Safety,” he added.
The series of ‘CEAT Ride for Safety’ will be held to emphasize the importance of road and traffic safety. The ride will start from Press Club Chandigarh and conclude at Stop N Stare in sector 10, Chandigarh. The rides for safety will conclude next Sunday, 18thJanuary, 2015, with the Road Survivors riding to Chandigarh University, Gharuan, to be followed by a first-aid training session by Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
“We all love riding our Bullets, and we always ride them safely. We not only follow traffic rules, but also organize rides like these to reinforce our commitment to safe biking amongst the youth. In fact, recently we also attended a session on Basic Life Support and First Aid so that we can fulfill our responsibility as safe riders,” said Jojo Khurana , the moderator of Road Survivors.
Flagging off the ride, RJ Abhimanyu said, “It’s a wonderful initiative by Road Survivors and BOBMC. Their message of ‘safe riding’ will resonate well with people of all age groups. Road Survivors- the Chandigarh Bullet Club and BOBMC are organizing the BOBMC Rider Mania ‘dohajaarpandrah’ in association with CEAT at The Kikar Lodge, Nature Retreat Resort, in Ropar this year. The event will be held from 23rd to 25th January, 2015 and will witness congregation of Royal Enfield motorcycle riders from all over the country, as well as from Nepal. BOBMC (Brotherhood of Bullet Riders Consortium) is a pan-India community that brings together riders of Royal Enfield motorcycles from across the country. This is an annual event that is hosted every year by one of the participating clubs of BOBMC in a location at or near the hosting club’s city. More of a yearly pilgrimage for the riders, they get together to meet, greet, take part in biking related competitions and generally have a party that goes on non-stop for the whole weekend. Apart from being a Bullet riders’ fest, this year’s Rider Mania promises to be a foodie’s utopia, with the assurance of unending Punjabi delicacies. The culture and music of Punjab will also be one of the highlights of the event.
