NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri, organized a World Water Walkathon 2040 at sector 17, Chandigarh.  A large number of local residents joined the students of CGC Jhanjeri in their walk  at Phase -7 .The participants were carrying placards with various slogans like “Next World War will be fought for water, Save Water and Avoid The War”, “Save Water, Save Life, Save Earth”, “Water is precious, save it, “Not Water Drops But Jewels, Save Them”. The students distributed herbal Holi colour & pamphlets carrying various water saving messages

Speaking on the occasion Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC said that  CGC  considers its Corporate Social Responsibility to aware  people about saving water  . He further encouraged youngsters to celebrate dry and safe Holi to save water .According to him if one person uses minimum single bucket of water to play Holi, even then he uses minimum 15 litres water in a single day. The amount doubles/triples when a person increases his usage and consumes more than a bucket for playing, bathing and cleaning so he encouraged residents to celebrate an ecofriendly holi.
