NewZNew (Chandigarh) : UGC has declared the result of NET/JRF exam which was held on 29 June 2014.This year total 441 candidates of Tricity has Qualified this exam, which is better than last year result as only 400 were qualified in same exam last year. Around 10,000 students appeared for UGC NET & JRF exam from Chandigarh in JUNE 2014 session, out of which 441 students are qualified and pass percentage is 4.41% which is better than PAN-India Level pass percentage which accounts around 3.56%.
R.K.Mahajan, Director of Sector 15 Chandigarh based coaching institute AAA-BRIGHT ACADEMY said that Education subject has produced best result this year while result of management and Punjabi subject has gone down. Further he added that 93 Students from AAA-BRIGHT ACADEMY has cleared UGC- NET/JRF from their centre.UGC NET is basic eligibility to become Assistant Professor in colleges and universities for which one need to secure in TOP 15% and JRF is for getting grants to pursue research/Phd.
