NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Empower a project established under the aegis of Joy Lall Memorial Educational Society for special children welfare, organized a ‘Charity Ball’ a fund raiser event at Hotel Hyatt Regency, here today. The event was organized in partnership with Canandable India .
The ‘Charity Ball’ started with a fashion show , which was choreographed by Rocky Tapia. The special children along with models and showstoppers, Neelam Garg, Mrs India International Finalist and Mansi Grewal , Miss India Title holder, walked the ramp for a cause. This was followed by a soulful musical performance by band , Vyatha and Salsa social by Varuna and Barsha Rana.
The special kids also performed on stage expressing their talents and remarkable confidence. On the spot prizes were given to couples and other participants.
Arun Sood, Mayor was guest of honor during occasion. Gurpreet Singh Ghugghi, renowned Punjabi actor and comedian a celebrity guest during occasion, has also enthralled audience with his lively performance.
Speaking during occasion, Bharti Kapoor and Sharmita Bhinder the co-founders of Empower said that the purpose of event was to bring the elements of joy and empowerment in the lives of children. The things they require in life is love, appreciation and respect. We need to shift our focus from material things and start providing them with due love.”
