NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Chefs Association of Five Rivers, an association of Punjab and Chandigarh Chefs formed to recognize the international culinary excellence and the culinary achievements of the Chefs in the region of Punjab and Chandigarh was launched under the Presidium of IFCA (Indian Federation of Culinary Association) headed by Chef Manjit Singh Gill in Delhi yesterday. Chefs Association of Five Rivers was formed under the aegis of World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS).
The association headed by the President Chef Navdeep Sharma and Vice President Chef Sanjiv Verma would work to promote all-round culinary interest and excellence among the community in the region. The association has Chefs from educational institutions and Chandigarh Hotel and Restaurant Industry wherein the efforts will be put together for the development of both teaching and industry because Chandigarh and Punjab has a tremendous potential for the showcase of culinary talents.
It would be a platform to expose the latest culinary trends to the fraternity, provide a global platform to learn and share experiences, forge global connections and friendship among the global culinary fraternity, enhance organizational skills and widen culinary capabilities to global standards and beyond.
It aims to grow its membership to 500 chefs by the end of the first year of its formation.
