CII-Yi & HP Govt all set to hold summit to boost entrepreneurship in north
With an objective to kindle the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst the youth from the region, promote free enterprise as a better career option instead of jobs and encourage the budding entrepreneurs to implement their out of the box business plans and learn from the experiences and strategies of more than 30 successful business tycoons, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and its Young Indians (Yi) Solan Chapter along with Govt of Himachal Pradesh, is all set to hold the 1st ever “Entrepreneurship Summit” themed as “Innovation in Entrepreneurship” on 20 October 2015 from 0900 – 1700 hrs at CII Northern Region Headquarters in sector 31 A, Chandigarh.
More than 200 aspiring entrepreneurs and young budding businessmen with naïve business ideas would get a chance to learn from the first hand experiences and insights of 30 top business tycoons from India and also interact with the Angel Investors who would be funding their ideas.
The summit aims to help the youth overcome the challenges of managing businesses in the face of uncertainties and ensure success of their business ventures.
The summit will also feature “Yustart 2015” a CII-Yi Start-Up Challenge” from the Engineering / Management / Regular Colleges across the region. CII Yi and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Ahmedabad had received 650 business plans and ideas from students across the region and selected 200 out of these which would be presented by 15 teams to the Angel Investors for funding support.
Mr Mukesh Agnihotri, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Labour & Employment, Government of Himachal Pradesh, is expected to inaugurate the summit.
Mr Fraser Castelino, CEO, Kings XI Punjab; Mr K S Bhatia, Director, Pumpkart.com; Mr Varun Rattan Singh, Founder & Director, Development Logics Solutions Pvt. Ltd.; Mr Girish Shivani, Director, YourNest Angel Fund; Ms Sarika Katoch, Chairperson, Himachal Children and Development Organization and experts from Chandigarh Angel Network would be some of the speakers. speakers.
