Doon Public School, organises result day celebrations



NewZNew (Panchkula) : It was a proud moment for students, parents & teachers of Doon Public School, Panchkula on the ‘Result Day’ organized by the school. The event was organized to recognize the hard work put in by pupils of the school from Grade I through VIII in clearing the exams. Certificates were distributed to tiny tots of Kindergarten who stepped into primary school. ‘Academic Stars’ badges were given out to toppers of every grade & from each section by Principal Capt Sanjay Anand, SM. Said Mr. Anand, “We have a tradition of rewarding every toppers with Scholar ships in cash, merit badges & certificates.  The Best reward for a teacher is to see her pupil being recognised.As many as 25 such students were honoured at the ‘Result Day’.”

For the younger students, Chhota Bheem was in attendance along-with his friends like Chutki & Jaggu Bandar. A Fancy Dress Competition for kids below 6 Years of age was also held. There was a Colouring Competition for children below 6 years & from 6 to 10 years apart from a Solo Dance Competition- for 6 to 14 year olds.

Said Mrs. Sunita Anand, Vice Principal, “It was certainly a day when students felt proud of their achievement of clearing the final exams. It was also a time for them to bask in the glory of passing with flying colours by having a lot of fun.”

Prizes to winners of these competitions were given out by Chhota Bheem himself. The event was supported by the Chhota Bheem Store, Zirakpur. The environment was charged with fun & bonhomie as kids were seen enjoying Bouncy Rides & relishing mouth watering snacks. The school had also allowed parents and students from other schools to participate and enjoy in the celebration. Many children who are not students of the school took part in the competitions.
