DPS World School organizes outing for students


NewZNew (Zirakpur) : DPS World School, Zirakpur organized an outing for its students and staff. The venue for the same was Chokhi Dhani, a mini Rajasthan on the Chandigarh-Kalka highway.

Upon reaching the place, they were greeted in a warm and most hospitable Rajasthani style. Dancers in their brightly coloured and sparkling costumes performed the famous Kalbelia & Ghoomar dances, mesmerizing everyone. Children enjoyed a magic & puppet shows.

All the students and teachers went around and explored the place for intricacies of Rajasthani art and culture. They were all treated to a sumptuous lunch that included delectable dishes like ‘Gatte Ki Sabzi’, ‘Dal- Bati’, ‘Choorma’

“The aim was giving students & staff a chance to unwind away from the monotony of books and studies. The trip also gave students an opportunity to learn about Rajasthani culture, while having fun.” Said Jyoti Nagranee, Principal, DPS World School, Zirakpur.
