newznew (Chandigarh) : The All India Council of Human Rights, Liberties and Social Justice has conferred its second Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam World Peace Award – 2016 upon Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, former Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission.
Sh. Mohinder Singh JI, Sanyojak, Chandigarh Branch said that the award was received by Baba Ji’s daughter Sudiksha Setiya Ji at a special function organized in the India Islamic Centre Auditorium, Lodi Road, Delhi on Saturday, December 10, 2016 that marked the International Human Rights Day. The award was given jointly by the Global Chairman of the Council Dr. Anthony Raju, Prof. K.K. Aggarwal Chancellor K.R. Managalam University and Dr. Prashant Bhalla, Chancellor Manav Rachna International University.
The ceremony was attended by Holy Sister Samta Ji, Shri C.L. Gulati, Secretary and several other members of the Executive Committee of the Sant Nirankari Mandal, Central Planning and Advisory Board and a large number of other delegates from the Sant Nirankari Mission.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Prashant Bhalla said that the Award was a humble tribute to recognize Baba Ji’s glorious contribution towards emancipation of humanity and spreading the message of love and peace. He said that Baba Ji endeavoured to establish Oneness of Mankind through the realization of Oneness of God. Spiritual enlightenment through God-knowledge, he said, was Baba Ji’s sacred cord to bring man closer to man and establish a World without Walls.
Dr. Anthony Raju said that the Council has honoured itself by paying this tribute to the great spiritual master, Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj.
Besides Baba Ji, the Council gave away different Awards to eminent personalities of the country in the fields of religion, culture, art, education, literature, journalism, social services, etc.
