NewZNew (Manimajra) : Declared as world’s Number One organisation in voluntary blood donation movement by United Nations, Sant Nirnakari Charitable Foundation managed to contribute 274 units of blood to PGI’s Blood Bank here today.
This was said by Mission’s Zonal Incharge and former Director Health Services, Punjab, Dr. B.S. Cheema.
Earlier in her inaugural address, Chandigarh Sub-Divisional Magistrate (East), Dr. Tapasya Raghav, IAS lauded “exemplary voluntary spirit at Nirankari blood donation camps”
PGI Assistant Professor, Blood Transfusion, Dr. Suchet Sachdev who headed PGI’s 17-member team to collect blood said that Nirankari Mission has become an example of voluntary donation in India.
“Sant Nirankari Mandal local Mukhi, Shri Devinder Kumar Bhajni said: “Since 2003, Manimajra branch of Sant Nirankari Mandal has arranged 14 mass camps where highest level of self-motivation has been exhibited by local donors.
